WHY LEARN?

A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We’ve all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Bleeding after injury is the #1 cause of preventable death! Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN FROM THE COURSE

The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death. By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques. Take the STOP THE BLEED® training course and become empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency happens. This is not the standard Stop the Bleed hour long class! You will work with bleeding (Simulated blood) wounds for real world practice.

HOW WE TEACH

Our instructors will teach you live—in person, using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will not only instruct you, they will be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions. They will keep working with you until you demonstrate the correct skills to STOP THE BLEED® and save a life.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

What stops bleeding? In a STOP THE BLEED® course, you’ll learn three quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out: (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound; (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding; (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet. We have several models of the TCCC approved tourniquets for you to train with. We also teach you the use of chest seals and nasopharyngeal airways! These techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life.

TIME

Class is about 4-5 hours long depending on the total number of students.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

To register for a class, READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST. Note that you are allowed to register ONE person at a time for a class. To register multiple people, you must go through this process for each person individually:

  1. First, you must put the number "1" (without quotes) into whichever red box matches your status... There are two boxes to choose from, depending on if you are a current BRPC Member, Active Duty Military, or LEO (or none of these). If you are Member, Active Duty, or LEO then change the "0" to a "1" in that box. Otherwise, change the "0" to a "1" in the other box.
  2. Next, select a date to register for from the calendar that shows a GREEN background. If you do not immediately see any dates with a green background, that means there are no dates available for that month. Click the right-arrow at the top of the calendar to move to the next month, and keep doing this until you find a green date that is available for registration.
  3. After clicking the date you want to register for, the "Booking Cost" will then be displayed below the calendar. At that point, simply enter your Member Card Number (if applicable) and click the red BOOK NOW button to complete the process and checkout.
